Hassan bin Mohammed Center for Historical Studies Organizes a Lecture on Archiving Historical Photographic Images

The Hassan bin Mohammed Center for Historical Studies is pleased to announce the organization of a specialized academic lecture entitled:
“Archiving Historical Photographic Images: Principles and Challenges,”
to be delivered by Mr. Ahmed Obaid, an expert in electronic archiving.

The lecture aims to highlight the importance of photographic images as historical sources, discuss the scientific foundations of their archiving, and examine the technical and methodological challenges associated with preserving them and making them accessible to researchers and institutions concerned with historical memory.

The lecture will be held on Wednesday, 11 February 2026, at 6:30 PM (Mecca Time), and will take place online via Microsoft Teams.

The Center invites interested individuals, researchers, and students of historical studies to attend the lecture. Access to the session will be available by scanning the QR code provided in the announcement.
